Recycling:






Notes on handling and disposing of used batteries:
- Used lead-acid batteries are considered to be waste for recycling not requiring particular supervision until 31 December 1998. They are marked with the ISO recycling symbol.
- The electrolyte, the diluted sulfuric acid, should never be emptied improperly; have this accomplished by a specialized company.

- Lead-acid batteries should not be mixed with other batteries to prevent difficulties when recycling.
- Always store lead-acid batteries horizontally and do not tip when transporting.
- Lead-acid batteries are taken back by the manufacturer, by sales points and old metal dealers and recycled in lead recycling plants. Secondary lead is added to the production process. Disposal of batteries as domestic waste is not permissible and legally prohibited.
