Use only approved tensioning devices; & additionally shield off hazardous area if necessary. Inspect special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves.

Danger Of Pinching And Jamming When Working On Pre-tensioned Components.
When uncoupling or removing components that are under significant pretension, there is a risk of dangerous Injury if clamping devices are used that are not approved.

Procedural Guidelines And Precautions
When conducting repair work to springs, spring bodies, spring-type actuators and other components under pretension use approved clamping devices only.

Spring Compressor
On no account should the spring compressor be damped or released using an impact wrench.

Check Clamping Devices
Spindle must be free moving and undamaged.
Clamping plates must not be deformed.
Note assignment of damping plates to springs.
In the event of damage and/or malfunctions the device should be returned to the manufacturer's.

Spring coil diameter must correspond to the groove in the clamping plate.

Wear gloves at all times when conducting work.
