GF27.10-P-3020PA Function of locking of selector lever position "P"
- Transmission 722.6 [model 203.0 as of 1.8.01]

Component Identification:

Function
One of the functions of the shift lock is to lock the selector lever in position "P". The selector lever is locked electronically.

The selector lever remains locked in position "P" if the brake is not operated or there is no power supply to the electronic selector lever module (N15/5) (circuit 87).

As of "Ignition: ON" the electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) actuates the R/P locking solenoids (89) when the brake pedal is depressed and selector lever position "P" is detected.

The R/P locking magnet (89) releases the selector lever thus allowing the selector lever to be moved away from position "P".
