1 Clean area around oil filler screw (50 g).
2 Remove oil filler screw (50g).
If necessary collect oil running out and allow to run out until oil only drips out of opening.
3 Check oil level.
Check oil level at room temperature only and not when rear axle differential is warm. Oil which is otherwise needed might flow out when the rear axle center assembly is hot.
The rear axle center assembly is not filled properly if the oil reaches the upper edge of the oil filler hole. If necessary refill with hypoid gear oil.

4 Clean the new oil filler screw and threaded hole in the rear axle differential with the specified cleaning agent.
Replace oil filler screw.
The oil filler screw and threaded hole must be free from oil and grease.
5 Apply about one droplet of the specified sealing compound onto the second or third lower thread.
6 Screw the oil filler screw into the rear axle differential immediately and tighten.
Observe specified tightening torque.
