GF26.60-P-2102-02A Multiple Cone Synchronization, Function
- Transmission 716.6

Triple cone synchronization in 1st/2nd gear:

1 2nd gear idler gear
2 1st gear idler gear
3 Cone ring
4 Friction ring
5 Friction lining
6 Synchronizer ring
7 Sliding sleeve
8 Synchronizer body
9 Shaft
10 Needle roller bearing

Triple cone synchronization is used in the transmission variants SG-S 370 and SG-S 400.

An additional cone ring (3) between the friction ring (4) and synchronizer ring (6) and a friction lining (5) applied to the friction ring (4) are the key components.

The friction surfaces of the nested synchronizer rings are additive and cause the idler gears (1 and 2) to be braked and accelerated more quickly or with less effort.

Double-cone synchronization:

1 2nd gear idler gear
2 1st gear idler gear
3 Cone ring
4 Friction ring
5 Synchronizer ring
6 Sliding sleeve
7 Synchronizer body
8 Shaft
9 Needle roller bearing

Double cone synchronization is used for synchronization in the transmission variants SG-S 250 and SG-S 270 in gears 1 to 4, and in the transmission variants SG-S 370 and SG-S 400 for gears 3 and 4. The friction lining on the friction ring (4) has been dispensed with.
