Consumer Shutoff Warning Message in Instrument Cluster After Rear SAM Replacement

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of either warning message Convenience functions temporarily unavailable" or Malfunction - electrical consumers shut off appearing in the instrument cluster multifunction display after replacing the rear Signal Acquisition and Actuation Module (SAM), this may be due to an incorrect coding in the rear SAM.

To resolve, version code "battery sensor" to "NO" via Star Diagnosis menu path: Control units --> Body --> Rear SAM - Rear signal acquisition and actuation module --> Control unit adaptations --> Battery Sensor.

Note:
Vehicles prior to Model Year 2007 (SA code 807) do not have a battery sensor. They are equipped with a battery control unit.
