AR27.19-P-1719T Remove/Install Electronic Transmission Control (ETC) Module

Remove, Install

1 Remove key from electronic ignition switch (EIS)

NOTE: Vehicles with Keyless Go code (889): Press start-stop key until ignition is switched off

2 Move passenger seat into rearmost position
3 Remove floor mat and lift back floor
covering (1) in passenger footwell
4 Remove impact absorber (2)
5 Unscrew nuts (3) and displace step plate (4)
6 Unscrew bolts (5)
7 Remove ETC [EGS] control module (N15/3) in direction of arrow
8 Disconnect electrical connectors (6, 7)

NOTE: Press catch (8) of connector lock

9 Install in the reverse order
10 Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary

NOTE: stored diagnostic trouble codes must be processed and erased in the diagnostic trouble code memories after completing the work. The stored faults may result from faulty components removal and installation work or cables disconnected during test operations or from a simulation.
