AR54.21-P-1260I Remove/Install Sam Control Module With Fuse and Relay Box, Front Left

Shown On Model 220:

Removal, installation
1 Connect quiescent current retention unit
2 Disconnect ground lead from battery
3 Open engine hood and move to upright position
4 Release and remove cover on left fuse box (F1)
5 Fold up clamping lever (1) and remove supply cable (terminal 30)
6 Unclip fuse carrier (2) on control module unit (driver-side SAM control module (N10/6) with left front fuse and relay module (K40/6)).

NOTE:
- Once the retaining lugs (arrow) have been pressed in the direction of the arrow, the fuse carriers can be taken out from the top.
- The components fitted to the left front fuse and relay module may vary depending on the equipment.

7 Remove the remaining couplings on the left front fuse and relay module
8 Pull out control module unit from above

CAUTION: Only pull out until the couplings (3) on control module unit (left front fuse and relay module (K40/6) and driver-side SAM control module (N10/6)) are accessible

9 Unlock and remove couplings (3)
- If driver-side SAM control module or left front fuse and relay module are defective: Disconnect SAM control module from fuse and relay module

10 Install in reverse order.
