Validity Affects front SAM with part number 164 540 64 01, 164 540 65 01, 164 540 66 01 or older. If these are flashed with new software, the actuation of the windshield washer pump no longer functions.

Cause:

New SAM flashware not compatible with old SAM hardware

Remedy:

Perform initial startup of front SAM as of SDS version 09/09 with all add-ons.
