AR33.20-P-0310-02V Inspect Tapered Roller Bearing and Bearing Races

If the tapered roller bearings and bearing races do not exhibit any discoloration or damage, they can be re-used.

1 Check tapered roller bearings and bearing races for the following criteria:
^ The tapered rollers and bearing races must have a smooth, gray track.
^ No discoloration (e.g. severe heat buildup).
^ Check roller cage and front of tapered rollers for damage.
^ The bearing races must be installed securely in the wheel hub.

Always replace taper roller bearings and bearing races as a pair.
