Complaint:





The central display of the COMAND Online control unit (A40/3) shows the message "Metadata loss - Please reimport all media data".

When the displayed message is acknowledged, the COMAND Online (A40/3) system is fully functional. The message can subsequently reappear.

Cause:

The database provided by the Music Search function in COMAND Online (A4013) may contain errors.

Remedy:

Do not replace the COMAND Online control unit (A40/3)! Perform software update of COMAND Online control unit (A40/3).

Update the COMAND software to software release 12/13.00 or higher using Xentry Diagnostics.

The software is available as of Telematics CD 05/2012 (A 172 827 72 59).

Update the COMAND software to software release 12/17.01 or higher using Xentry Diagnostics.
