Turn Signal Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On 1982-84 models with tilt column, remove upper extension shroud. Unsnap shroud from retaining clip located at the 9 o'clock position.
3. On all models, remove trim shroud or shroud halves.
4. Remove turn signal switch lever from switch. Grasp lever and use a pulling and twisting motion while pulling lever straight out from switch.
5. Peel back foam shield from turn signal switch, then disconnect two electrical connectors from switch.
6. Remove turn signal switch attaching screws and the switch from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
