Test 13, Primary Circuit

Coil primary circuit test connections:






Procedure
1. With ignition ``Off,'' install a straight pin into module green wire, Fig. 1. Connect a suitable voltmeter positive lead to straight pin and ground negative lead to distributor base. Turn ignition ``Run'' and measure voltage.

Note: Do not allow straight pin to contact engine ground.

2. If voltage obtained is more than 1.5 volts, circuit is satisfactory. Proceed to test 14. Test 14, Ground Circuit
3. If voltage obtained is less than 1.5 volts, inspect wiring harness and connectors between ignition coil and module. Repair as necessary.
