Subject: 1984 Tempo/Topaz Early Driveability Concerns - Information Update

The purpose of this letter is to provide you with diagnostic and service information for 1984 Tempo/Topaz early driveability concerns. This information contained in Attachment I is supplemental to or updates that contained in a letter to you dated August 19, 1983.

These concerns are generally low frequency, but may be difficult to diagnose and service. TSB's have been or will be publisbed for the information attached to this letter and the letter of August 19, 1983. The wiring harness for the 1-2 shift sag (ATX) was not made available on September 15, 1983 as indicated in the August 19, 1983 letter. The harness was redesigned and will be available October 15, 1983. Warranty claim preparation instructions are contained in Attachment II.
