ISSUE: Paint audits and field reports have indicated concerns in matching aftermarket paint colors to the Ford production paint colors. This matching concern seems to be greater when comparing the metallic paints.

ACTION: To correct this, DuPont and PPG Aftermarket Divisions will supply color variance decks by August 1, 1987 to DuPont and PPG Distributors and District Offices for distribution to dealerships. Updated color variance decks will be sent during October, 1987 and will then continue to be sent on a regular basis.
