Inner Tie Rod Lash Check (Diagnosis):

1. With the vehicle on a hoist, move the inner tie rod spindle axially in and out as shown in Figure 1.

2. Make sure there is no movement or lash between the inner tie rod socket and the inner tie rod ball.

3. If movement is present, replace the inner tie rod assembly.

4. Lower vehicle.
