LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1988 TRACER


ISSUE: The Electronic Fuel Control System (EFCS) self-test procedure for the 1988 Tracer 1.6L is not listed in the 1988 Mercury Tracer Shop Manual Index. In addition, the procedure for the self-test has been changed to make service easier.

ECA 1 CHECK FOR FAULT CODE - MIL EQUIPPED VEHICLE:




ECA 1A CHECK FOR FAULT CODE - NON-MIL EQUIPPED VEHICLE:





ACTION: Pages 24-01-81 and 24-01-82 of the 1988 Mercury Tracer Shop Manual should be replaced by pages 30 and 31 of this TSB.
