Electronic Spark Control Module: Description and Operation
Knock Control Unit (KCU):
The Knock Control Unit is a signal filter, determining whether the signal from the Knock Senor (KS) is caused from knocking or another source. This filtered information is input to the Electronic Control Assembly (ECA). Spark timing is retarded according to the intensity of the knock.
