1. Move temperature control lever to COOL position. Using tool T83P-18532-AH, Fig. 14, disconnect cable housing end retainer from A/C case bracket, then disconnect cable from temperature door crank arm.
2. Insert a suitable tool into 3.5 millimeter holes in bezel. Apply a minimal inboard force to each side of the control, then pull control assembly from register.
3. Disconnect cable housing from control mounting bracket.
4. Remove twist off cap from control lever, then remove control cable.
5. Remove electrical connectors, two vacuum harness-to-control assembly spring nuts, then the vacuum harness and control assembly.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
