Alignment: Service Precautions

DEACTIVATE
1. Disconnect positive battery cable and back-up power supply. The back-up power supply is a blue box on the outer LH side of the glove compartment, and attached to the instrument panel.
2. Remove four nut and washer assemblies retaining airbag module to steering wheel.
3. Disconnect airbag connector.
4. Connect Rotunda Airbag Simulator 105-00008 or equivalent, to clockspring connector in base of steering wheel.
5. Connect positive battery cable and back-up power supply.

REACTIVATE
1. Disconnect positive battery cable and backup power supply.
2. Remove airbag simulator from clockspring connector at base of steering wheel.
3. Connect airbag connector.
4. Position airbag on steering wheel and secure with four nut and washer assemblies.
5. Connect positive battery cable and back-up power supply.
6. Verify system operation.
