Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

Manual Lever Position Switch Check

1. Disconnect the manual lever position switch. Connect Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 105-00051 or equivalent between the "LG" wire and the "LG/BK" wire on the manual lever position switch connector.

2. With the selector lever in the PARK or NEUTRAL position, there should be continuity between the terminals.

3. If continuity does not exist, replace the manual lever position switch.
