ADV2 - Inspect Timing
^ Disconnect and plug the vacuum hoses from the vacuum diaphragm.
Vacuum Advance:
^ Ground the Self Test Input (STI) connector.
^ Engine at operating temperature.
^ All electrical loads off.
^ Check idle speed:
Idle Speed 850 ± 50 rpm
^ Connect a Rotunda Timing Analyzer 059-00014 or equivalent.
^ Check timing:
Base Timing: 12 ± 1 degrees BTDC.
Timing Marks:
^ Is the Ignition base timing correct?
YES -- Go to ADV3.ADV3 - Check Centrifugal Advance
NO -- Adjust the timing.
