Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect electrical connector at IAC/BPA valve.

3. Drain cooling system.

4. Remove two coolant hoses and clamps.

5. Remove two air hoses and clamps.

6. Remove retaining bolt and nut. Remove IAC/BPA valve.

INSTALLATION

1. Position IAC/BPA valve and install retaining nut and bolt. Tighten to 19-25 Nm (15-18 lb ft).

2. Install two air hoses and secure with clamps.

3. Install two coolant hoses and secure with clamps.

4. Connect electrical connector at IAC/BPA valve.

5. Fill cooling system.

6. Connect negative battery cable.

7. Check and adjust idle speed.
