DD3 - Check EGRP SIG RTN Circuit Continuity

- Key "OFF".

- EGR Position (EGRP) sensor disconnected.

- Disconnect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave the PCM disconnected.

- Measure the resistance between EGRP SIG RTN circuit at the EGRP sensor vehicle harness connector and test pin 46 at the breakout box.

- Is resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes -- Go to DD4. DD4 - Check EGRP Circuit For Short to Ground

No -- Service open circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
