Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Description and Operation

OPERATION
The Brake ON/OFF (BOO) Switch informs Powertrain Control Module PCM) of Brake application. Also the BOO Switch sends a signal to the PCM to disengage the torque converter clutch when the brake pedal is depressed. This signal may be ignored by the PCM if the Throttle Position (TP) signal is above closed throttle. It signals Shift Lock Actuator Brake Pedal has been depressed and signals ABS Control Module that braking condition is about to occur.
