Starting and Charging: Service Precautions

DISARMING
1. Disconnect battery negative, then positive cable. Allow at least one minute for back-up power supply to deplete.
2. Remove bolts retaining air bag module to steering wheel, then disconnect air bag connector.
3. Connect Rotunda Air Bag Simulator 105-00010, or equivalent, to vehicle air bag wiring harness at top of steering column.
4. Connect battery cables.

ARMING
1. Disconnect battery negative, then positive cable. Allow one minute for back-up power supply to deplete.
2. Remove air bag simulator from harness on top of steering column.
3. Connect driver's air bag connector.
4. Position driver's air bag on steering wheel and secure with two bolts.
5. Connect battery cables.
6. Place ignition switch in RUN position and note air bag warning lamp operation. Indicator lamp should illuminate for approximately six seconds, then turn OFF.
