Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

Manual Lever Position (MLP) Switch:

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove left-hand inner splash shield.
2. Remove shift cable from manual lever, then place MLP switch in "Neutral" position.
3. Loosen MLP switch bolts, then insert gear position sensor adjuster T92P-70010-CH into MLP switch and manual shaft adjustment holes as vertically as possible.
4. Torque switch bolts to 27 inch lbs., then remove gear position sensor adjuster from switch.
5. Position shift cable on manual lever and tighten shift cable nut securely.
6. Install lefthand inner splash shield, then lower vehicle.
7. Verify that the engine will crank only with the gearshift lever in PARK (P), or NEUTRAL (N).
