Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the power transistor electrical connector.
3. Remove the power transistor bracket-to-cylinder head bolt.
4. Remove the power transistor with the bracket attached.
5. Remove the two power transistor-to-bracket bolts.
6. Remove the power transistor.

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Tighten the power transistor-to-bracket bolts to 3 N.m (26 lb.in).
Tighten the bracket-to-cylinder head bolt to 13 N.m (9 lb.ft)
