Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor:
REMOVAL 1.
Drain engine cooling system.
2.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
3.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
4.
Disconnect engine control sensor wiring from Engine Coolant Temperature
(ECT) sensor.
5.
Remove ECT sensor.
INSTALLATION 1.
To install, reverse removal procedure.
2.
Tighten ECT sensor to
14-19 Nm (10-14 ft lb).
