Connecting Rod: Service and Repair
Assemble the rod to the
piston with the notch on the piston dome on the same side as the button on the
connecting rod identification marks.
Piston & Rod Assembly:
Assemble
piston and rod assembly in engine with notch in dome facing front of engine. After installation, inspect
connecting rod big end side clearance. Clearance should be
0.006-0.014 inch.
