Tachometer: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove and disassemble instrument cluster.
3. Remove tachometer from gauge clips by pulling tachometer from instrument cluster back plate.

INSTALLATION
1. Carefully position tachometer over gauge clips.

CAUTION: Tachometer is calibrated at factory. Excessive rough handling could disturb calibration.

2. Press tachometer into gauge clips in instrument cluster back plate. Use care not to get fingerprints on applique.
3. Assemble and install instrument cluster.
4. Connect battery ground cable. Check tachometer operation.
