Low Oil Level Warning Indicator

The warning indicator should come on during the instrument cluster prove-out.

Instrument Panel Warning Indicator:

1. When the ignition switch is turned to RUN or START and the oil level is adequate, the light will go out in RUN.
2. If oil level is approximately 1.4 L (1.5 qt) low or lower, the warning indicator comes on. The indicator remains on until the ignition switch is turned to OFF.
3. After the ignition switch is turned to OFF, the warning will not reset for approximately five minutes. The delay allows time for oil drainback before another reading is allowed to occur.
4. If the engine is restarted during this delay period, the indicator will stay off, unless it was previously on and sensor is still grounded.
