Alarm Module: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing Control Unit Of Electronic Immobilizer (EWS)

Disconnect negative lead from battery.
Remove drivers side storage tray.

Remove nuts (1).
Tightening torque 2.8 Nm.
Disconnect connector (2).

UK vehicles only:
The EWS module is protected by a metal bracket. Nuts (1) are a special security nut.

Replacement only:
After replacement of the EWS module, recoding is necessary.
