Removal and Replacement

24 61 501 - Removing and installing or replacing control unit

Disconnect battery .

Remove nut and screw (1) securing bracket of control unit.
Tightening torque 24 61 1AZ .
Release bracket of control unit and detach plug connector (2).

Replacement only:
Unscrew nuts (3) securing bracket of control unit.
Tightening torque 24 61 2AZ .
Remove control unit (4) from bracket.
