Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair


Replacing Transmission Switch

Note:
^ After completing work, top up transmission fluid.

Caution:
^ Use only the approved transmission fluid in this automatic transmission.
^ Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!

Drain oil only when the transmission has cooled.





Disconnect connector from inhibitor switch.

Remove inhibitor switch from gearbox.
1) Electrical connector
2) Inhibitor switch
3) Oil pan
4) Sealing ring on inhibitor switch
Inhibitor switch to gearbox 12 Nm


Install hint:
Fit new sealing to inhibitor switch and lubricate.
