SUBJECT
Central Instrument Cluster Intermittently Cuts Out

MODEL
R50 (Cooper), R53 (Cooper S) produced 11/30/03 to 01/28/04 and without Navigation (option 609)

CAUSE
Poor locking of the 12-pin connector on the instrument cluster.

PROCEDURE
Check the locking of the 12-pin connector. If a transparent cover cap is installed, remove and replace with the following part:

61 13 8 365 906 - cover cap
