51 24 070 Removing And Installing/Replacing Retractor

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove panel for rear lid.
- Partially remove emergency release device.







Release screw (1) on retractor Bowden cable (2) and feed out in direction of arrow.

Installation: 4AZ Bowden cable, retractor, to body 18.5 Nm

Important: When removing retractor Bowden cable (2), protect bumper against damage.

Warning: Retractor Bowden cable is tensioned (risk of injury).







Release screws (1) on Bowden cable holder (2).

Installation: 5AZ Bowden cable, retractor, to rear lid 7.6 Nm







Release nuts (1) on retractor (2) and remove retractor (2) towards top.

Installation: 6AZ Rretractor to rear lid 7.6 Nm
