Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

12 61 280 - Removing and installing/replacing oil pressure switch





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Switch off ignition
- Remove right front wheel Removing or Installing Front or Rear Wheel





Warning!
Danger of scalding!

Carry out this work step only when the engine has cooled down.





Open oil filter cap so that oil can flow back into oil sump.
Tighten down oil filter cap.
Tightening torque 11 42 1AZ.





Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release oil pressure switch (2).
Tightening torque 12 61 1AZ





Clean oil pressure sensor and thread in oil filter housing.
If the oil pressure sensor is to be reused, apply sealing compound to the thread as illustrated.
Check engine oil level.
