SUBJECT
SZL Fault Codes 9E2C and 9E2E Stored in Memory

MODEL
R56 (Cooper, Cooper S). Vehicles with option SA205 (Auto) and SA202 (Steptronic) but without SA249 (MFL)

SITUATION
The SZL (Steering column switch cluster) has fault code 9E2C (Multifunction steering wheel timeout telegram) and 9E2E (Multifunction steering wheel timeout device status) stored. No warning lamps are illuminated and there is no customer complaint.

CAUSE
SZL variant error.

INFORMATION
Do not replace parts, no repair is necessary.

These faults will be masked in a future DIS release.
