Disable and Enable Key
If a key is lost, it should be disabled electronically in the EWS control module. It is not possible to start the engine with a disabled key.

Important Notes:
- Pay attention to the following points:
- Before disabling keys determine what keys are missing (key numbers). This is determined in the test module "Service functions - key status". For this check, the vehicle owner must present all keys belonging to the vehicle.
- In order to disable or enable a key, the key inserted in the ignition lock must be enabled and transmit valid data.
- The active key (key in ignition lock) cannot be disabled.
- NEVER disable all keys. At least two keys should remain enabled.
- Do NOT disable new keys which have not yet been delivered!

Security Function
A disabled key is evaluated as valid (engine start possible) within 10 seconds after removing an enabled key.
