- Check horn, headlight flashers and hazard warning flashers
- Check instrument and inscription lighting and heater blower
- Check lighting system
- Seat belts: Check condition of seat belt strap, function of automatic reel, seat belt locking reel and seat belt buckle
- Check windscreen wash/wipe system
- Convertible only:
Trigger rollover protection system via diagnostic interface. Warning: open soft top first
- Check MINI Mobility System for expiry date on sealant bottle, replace sealant bottle if necessary
- Tires: Check tread depth, tread wear pattern, external condition and tire pressure, correct if necessary
- Initialize Run Flat Indicator
- Check battery, recharge if necessary
- Visually inspect all SRS airbag units for cracks, surface damage and attachment of labels (US only)
- Check coolant level and concentration, top up if necessary
- Check windscreen washer system and intensive cleaning fluid, top up if necessary
- Check brake lines and connections for leaks, damage and correct position
- Check underbody incl all visible components for damage, corrosion and leaks
- Check steering components for play, leaks, damage and wear
- Check for road safety, test drive
