Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection

Igniter Testing:






1. Connect lamp and battery to igniter as shown.
2. Apply voltage to igniter input and output terminals with 1.5V battery or circuit tester. When circuit tester is used, select ohm range. With battery, polarity may be disregarded.
3. If lamp comes on when tester or battery are connected and goes out when disconnected, igniter is good.
4. If lamp lights without tester or battery connected, or does not light when connected, replace igniter.
