This bulletin updates the 1984 Truck Service Manual with new torque specifications for the diesel engine crank pulley bolt, flywheel bolts and main bearing cap bolts. Please attach the orange labels to the tops of pages 9-96 and 9-129 as reference to this bulletin.



PAGE 9-96 ENGINE - TIMING BELT TRAIN

Change the crank pulley bolt torque specification as indicated below.



PAGE 9-129 ENGINE - CRANKSHAFT AND FLYWHEEL

Change the torque specifications for the flywheel bolts and the main bearing cap bolts as indicated below.
NOTE: The torque specifications in the table on page 9-13 remain unchanged.
