Previous Recall Completion Check
1. Open the hood. Look for the previous Emission Recall Completed Label
- EMR-90-002 - (Figure 4) on the hood as shown in Figure 5.
2. If the EMR-90-002 Emission Recall Completed Label IS found, proceed to the next page.
3. If the EMR-90-002 Emission Recall Completed Label IS NOT found, the previous recall was not performed. You MUST perform the EMR-90-002 repair procedures with the following changes:
a. When the exhaust manifold is inspected, install the front catalytic converter which is contained in the EMR-92-008 emission kit.
b. Replace the Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve (contained in the EMR-92-008 emission kit).
CAUTION:
Do not over-tighten the Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve.
c. After adjusting the basic engine timing, verify the CO level at the tailpipe.
d. Proceed to the EMR-92-008 Emission Recall Completed Label instruction.
