Front Catalytic Converter Removal

1. Liberally spray penetrating oil on the front catalytic converter retaining bolts. Replace the front catalytic converter (Figure 10) with the unit contained in the EMR-92-009 emission kit.

2. To reinstall, reverse the order of removal for the catalytic converter, the exhaust manifold, and the heat protectors.

Note:
Lightly coat the air pipe to exhaust manifold threads with anti-seize compound.

3. Reconnect the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector.
