Front Catalytic Converter Removal

1. Liberally spray penetrating oil on the front catalytic converter retaining bolts. Replace the front catalytic converter (Figure 9) with the unit contained in the EMR-92-007 emission kit.

2. To reinstall, transfer the lower heat protector to the new front catalytic converter, then, reverse the order of removal for the catalytic converter, the exhaust manifold, and the heat protectors.

Note:
Lightly coat the air pipe to exhaust manifold threads with anti-seize compound.
