Signal Generator Test

1. Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure signal generator resistance. Resistance should be 920 - 1120 ohms on Mitsubishi units or 130 - 190 ohms on Nippondenso units.
2. When testing distributor resistance without removing distributor from engine, insert ohmmeter probes into distributor as shown in Fig. 3. Do not insert probes into igniter terminals or damage to igniter may result.
