PURPOSE
This bulletin describes a change to the operating specification of the KM148 ATF oil temperature warning switch in the 1988 Montero Service Manual. This bulletin also serves as a description of the operation of the A/T Oil Temperature Warning Light circuit for the 1987 Montero Service Manual.
As reference to this bulletin, please write the TSB number in the revision box on page 21-104 in the 1987 Montero Service Manual Volume 1, and page 21-104 in the 1988 Montero Service Manual, Volume 1.
SERVICE MANUAL REVISION
In the 1988 Montero Service Manual, page 21-104, cross out "50°C (122°F)" and write "150°C (302°F)" as shown.
In the 1987 Montero Service Manual, page 21-104, write "FOR ATF OIL TEMPERATURE WARNING LIGHT OPERATION DESCRIPTION SEE TSB 88-21-023" as shown.
