Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

TESTING OF IGNITION COIL
1. Measurement of the primary coil.
Measure the resistance between the positive terminal and negative terminal of the ignition coil.
Standard value: 1.1 - 1.3 ohm

2. Measurement of the secondary coil resistance.
Measure the resistance between the ignition coil's positive terminal and the high-voltage terminal.
Standard value: 22.1 - 29.9 kohm

3. Measure resistance of external resistor.
Standard value: 1.22 - 1.48 ohm

4. If resistance values are not as specified, replace components as necessary.
