1. Turn all accessories Off, warm up engine until specified idling speed is reached, then turn engine off.
2. Remove air cleaner, then depress accelerator pedal completely, ensuring throttle valve operates smoothly from full close to full open.
3. Check accelerator inner cable for too much or too little slack.
4. Loosen cable adjusting nuts to set throttle lever free, Fig. 54.
5. Turn adjusting nuts to increase outer cable length until throttle lever starts to be actuated.
8. Back off 1/2 turn and lock in position.
